Young Scientist Award 2009
The
European Nutrition Leadership Programme (ENLP) promotes nutritional well being
through a multidisciplinary and multicultural network of nutritionists that is
internationally recognized for its quality in science and communication. The
ENLP aims to assist the development of future leaders in the field of human
nutrition in
As part of the continuing education activities of the ENLP
and within the frame of the 19th International Nutrition Conference,
the ENLP wishes to recognize the potential of young scientists to become International leaders in nutrition. The aim of the ENLP Young Scientist Award, organized
this year 2009 for the first time, is to encourage outstanding young
researchers from all over the world and from all fields of nutrition to develop
their careers in

> The winner will receive a cash
price consisting on 1000 US dollars.
Applicants > Candidates should be final year PhD students or postdoctoral
fellows in human nutrition science from any country, under the age of 35 years.
How to apply > Application to the ENLP Young Scientist Award should be made by sending a copy of the abstract accepted to be presented at the International Congress of Nutrition (Bangkok, 4-9 October 2009) along with a short answer to the following question: Why is leadership important for the future of nutrition? Describe the role you will play as an International leader in nutrition research. A short paragraph (max 150 words) should be provided, in English, before the 31 July 2009 by sending your answers, short CV and accepted abstract to info@enlp.eu.com.
Evaluation of applications > The assessment of applications will be made by a
committee selected within the senior members of the ENLP Alumni. The decision
will be based on the demonstration of leadership potential through the short
question as well as the quality, novelty and interest of the abstract presented
at the International Nutrition Conference. The final decision will
be announced during the International Nutrition Conference (see www.icn2009.com for details).
